Just the Two of You
When you have a world of choices, a honeymoon destination can be difficult to narrow down. Here are a few of the most popular destinations, plus a few ideas of what to do when you get there.

Hawaii

Whether you prefer your honeymoon to be adventurous, relaxed or romantic with beautiful sunsets or sunrises, Hawaii has an array of excellent resorts, hotels and places to enjoy.
Visit Kilauea, an active volcano that has been quietly erupting for more than 20 years. Take a walk through the Kilauea Caverns of fire, the longest and deepest lava tube system in the world, located just minutes away from the Kilauea crater.
Head to a luau, where you can find singing, dancing, and plenty of great food. Many hotels, resorts and restaurants offer luaus on property.
Stargaze at the Onizuka Center for International Astronomy. The skies above the center are among the clearest, coldest, and driest on the planet, so a good show is almost guaranteed.

Mexico can be perfect for newlyweds seeking a romantic, tropical honeymoon. Like Hawaii, Mexico offers an array of activities:
Go scuba diving in Cozumel, which is famous for its beautiful coral reefs, colorful fish, and spectacular sponge formations. Due to the tremendous clarity of the water, you don’t need to be an experienced scuba diver to enjoy this experience.
Visit the Mayan Ruins. Ruins can be found all over the Yucatan Peninsula. If you want to visit several sites, package tours are available and many of the ruins are located near the beach—a great day trip.
Experience the nightlife of Cancun, which is famous for its exciting clubs and discos. If you’re into the club scene, there’s something to do in Cancun 24 hours a day.

Jamaica has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the prettiest islands in the Caribbean. If you’re looking for a peaceful honeymoon location, this could be it:
Visit Dunn’s River Falls. The falls are one of Jamaica’s most popular tourist spots, and many visitors climb all the way to the top, stopping along the way to enjoy the pools formed naturally by the falls. There is also a large craft market nearby if you want to turn the trip into a shopping excursion.
Go Sunfish Sailing. Because it’s perfect for two adults and requires no crew, it can give you and your new husband a fun activity to try together while enjoying the Jamaican sun and surf.
Swim with the Dolphins at Dolphin Cove. Although this experience can be a little pricey, most people who have tried it say it’s worth it.

Italy is often considered the birthplace of romance. If you’re interested in a honeymoon filled with culture and history as well as l’amore, this may be a great choice:
Visit historical landmarks in Rome. Rome is filled with beautiful sights such as the Coliseum, the Pantheon, and the Forum. Although these attractions can sometimes be crowded, they’ll definitely be worth it if you’re the least bit interested in history.
Take a chairlift ride to the top of Monte Solaro. If you’re planning to visit Naples, make a point to visit the nearby island of Capri. Monte Solaro is the highest point on the island and gives a beautiful view of the entire Bay of Naples.
Take a ride in a gondola in Venice. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more romantic thing to do. You can even stop and have a meal at one of the waterfront cafes while you navigate the waterways.

France is another romantic European country that promises an unforgettable honeymoon. Part of its attraction lies in its diversity: depending on where you decide to go, France can offer a wide array of beaches, historical monuments, and interesting tourist attractions:
Visit the Musee d’Orsay. If you’re planning to visit Paris and you’re interested in art, consider making a trip to this museum. Once a railroad station, the museum now houses an impressive collection of Impressionistic art that visitors have raved about all over the world.
Take a walk on the Promenade des Anglais. If you’re looking for a beach honeymoon, consider visiting Nice. The city, situated right on the Mediterranean Coast, offers good food, exciting open-air markets, and beautiful beaches. The Promenade des Anglais is a famous street that travels along Nice’s waterfront.
Go skiing. France is world-renowned for its variety in slopes and fabulous resort hotels. If you and your fiancé are skiers, consider a honeymoon in the Alps.
