Ring in the New Year with family and friends at First Night State College. Beginning at noon, the event features numerous musical performances, holiday carriage rides, ice skating at Pegula Ice Arena, 5K Resolution Run and much more.


Enjoy the angelic sounds of The Vienna Boys Choir at Eisenhower Auditorium as the group performs “Christmas in Vienna,” beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $19-$38.


Country music star John Berry will put on a special Christmas concert beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-$45.


The Annual Stocking Stuffer Antiques, Art and Fine Crafts Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5 at Centre Furnace Mansion. Admission is $5.

The holiday season will be in full swing at the “Merry Millheim” celebration in Millheim beginning at 4 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 10 a.m.

The weekend festival includes live music, craft workshops, handmade gifts, food vendors and a live Nativity scene.

The 7th annual “Weihnachtsmarkt” runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Granary in Lemont. Homemade crafts, gifts, holiday treats and spirits will be available.


Capture the magic of the holiday at the Polar Express events from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown State College. Families are invited to listen to the story at Schlow Centre Region Library, then ride a trolley before visiting Santa at Santa’s Workshop. Continues Dec. 6, 12 and 13.

The 12th Annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place at 10 a.m. at Black Moshannon State Park. Pre-registration is required with a minimum of $75 in donations ($25 for children and students).

The Elves’ Gift Shop will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Park Forest Middle School.

The 40th Annual Winter Craft Market will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mount Nittany Middle School. The event features more than 70 artists showing a variety of handcrafted items. Admission is $3.

The annual Holiday Art and Ornament Sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Palmer Museum of Art.

A concert celebrating the 100th Birthday of Frank Sinatra will feature Sinatra classics played by Zeropoint Big Band as well as Tommy Wareham, Tyne Palazzi, Elizabeth Webb and Chris Dimattio. Tickets are $25-$30.


Some of Penn State’s most talented student musicians will perform in the annual “Mosaic” concert beginning at 4 p.m. at Eisenhower Auditorium. Tickets are $10-$30.


The Pennsylvania Military Museum will host its annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Tribute beginning at 12:45 p.m. on the museum grounds in Boalsburg.


The Mifflinburg Christkindl Market will begin at 4:30 p.m., featuring an authentic Christmas market experience inspired by the 700-year-old German tradition. The event will run through Dec. 12 in downtown Mifflinburg.

The Centre County United Way Festival of Trees will begin at 4 p.m. and continue through Dec. 13 at the Central PA Institute of Science and Technology in Pleasant Gap. Admission is $1 for children and $2 for adults.


A Bellefonte Victorian Christmas will begin at 9 a.m. and run through Dec. 13. The festival will include historic house tours, horse-drawn buggy rides, concerts, train rides, a gingerbread house contest, arts and crafts show, Breakfast with Santa and a Victorian tea party.


There will be plenty of good cheer at Mulled Wine and Gingerbread Open House beginning at noon and Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery. The event will feature hot mulled wines, holiday treats and locally made food and gifts.


The Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra will present Handel’s “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m. at Schwab Auditorium and at 2:30 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church on Dec. 16. Tickets are $5–$20.


Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical will fly into the Bryce Jordan Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-$50.


Listen to books come to life with puppets, performances and hands-on activities at Saturday Stories Alive at 11 a.m. in the Children’s Activity room. Ages 2 to 7.
