Night to Shine

The inaugural Central PA Night to Shine, a prom for people ages 14 and up with special needs and disabilities, was held in February at Calvary Harvest Fields in Boalsburg. More than 100 guests, ranging in age from 14 to 70 and each paired with a volunteer “buddy” for the night, were treated to hair and makeup stations, shoe shining, flower pinning, limo rides, photo stations, karaoke, dinner and a red carpet entrance. More than 260 volunteers and numerous local businesses donated time and resources to put on the event. Photos courtesy Central PA Night to Shine.
