American Philatelic Research Library’s Golden Anniversary Celebration

The American Philatelic Research Library (APRL) celebrated 50 years of knowledge, research and education with a full day of events on Nov. 3 at the American Philatelic Center (formerly the Match Factory) in Bellefonte. Highlights of the event include rarely seen items from the library collections, special presentations to the APRL from Rep. Glenn Thompson and Rep. Kerry Benninghoff, authors’ talks and building tours. Ceremonies were held to honor the contributions of past librarians and current Vooys Fellows during the event. Philatelic festivities concluded with an informative overview of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum from Supervisory Curator and dinner keynote speaker Herman Eberhardt.
