New Senators

As of Dec. 1, most Centre Countians found themselves in a new Senate district with a new number and represented by a new senator. Jake Corman of Bellefonte, who had succeeded his father, J. Doyle Corman Jr. in the Senate in 1998, stepped down at the end of his term.

Most of his old district was placed in a new one (see map) represented by Sen. Cris Dush of Brookville, who will up for re-election in 2024. Some of Corman’s district was moved to a new district represented by Sen. Wayne Langerholc Jr. of Cambria County. Centre Region municipalities he now represents are Ferguson, Patton and Halfmoon townships.
